How to Add a Free Shipping Progress Bar in Shopify Broadcast Theme

Unlike themes where this needs a custom code snippet, Broadcast has a real native Free shipping message block built into the cart drawer, with dynamic text that updates as a shopper adds items.

Steps

1. In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes and click Customize on Broadcast.
2. Select the Cart drawer from the Overlay section of the theme editor.
3. Click Add block and choose Free shipping message.
4. Set your message text — Broadcast supports a placeholder token (something like ||amount||) that automatically fills in the remaining amount needed.
5. Set the text size and color scheme, and whether the message pins to the bottom of the drawer.
6. Click Save.

Make sure the free shipping threshold you write into the message text actually matches your real shipping settings under Settings > Shipping and delivery — the block doesn't pull that number automatically, so the two can drift out of sync if you change one and forget the other.
