How to Add a Free Shipping Progress Bar in Shopify Symmetry Theme

Unlike themes where this needs a custom code snippet, Symmetry has a real native Free shipping bar built into the cart drawer, letting shoppers see how close they are to a threshold as they add items.

Steps

  1. In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes and click Customize on Symmetry.
  2. Select the Cart drawer section in the theme editor.
  3. Find the Free shipping bar setting and turn it on.
  4. Set your free shipping threshold amount and the message text shown before and after it's reached.
  5. Click Save.

Make sure the threshold you enter here actually matches your real shipping settings under Settings > Shipping and delivery — the bar doesn't pull that number automatically, so the two can drift out of sync if you change one and forget the other.
