How to Choose a Preset in Shopify Symmetry Theme

Symmetry ships with five complete style presets — Symmetry, Salt Yard, Beatnik, Duke, and Amara — each bundling its own fonts, colors, and layout defaults.

Steps

  1. In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes and click Customize on Symmetry.
  2. Click Theme settings, then look for a Presets option near the top.
  3. Preview each of the five presets before committing — they range from clean and minimal to bolder, more editorial styling.
  4. Apply the one closest to your brand, then fine-tune colors and fonts from there rather than starting from the theme's raw defaults.
  5. Click Save.

A preset is a starting point, not a lock-in — every setting it changes (colors, fonts, section defaults) stays fully editable afterward.
