How to Add a Slideshow in Shopify Horizon Theme

Horizon's Slideshow section handles multiple rotating banners — and thanks to nested blocks, each slide can hold its own mix of text, image, and button blocks rather than a fixed template.

Steps

1. In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes and click Customize on Horizon.
2. On the Home page template, click Add section and choose Slideshow.
3. Click Add slide to add each banner.
4. Select a slide, then click Add block inside it to add heading, text, or button blocks — arrange them however you like within that slide.
5. In the section settings, set the Slide height and whether slides auto-rotate.
6. Reorder slides by dragging them in the block list.
7. Click Save.

Because each slide's content is its own set of nested blocks, slides don't have to look identical to each other — useful if one slide is a sale banner and another is a lookbook-style image.
