How to Enable Product Filtering and Sorting in Shopify Horizon Theme

Horizon can show a filter sidebar on collection pages — built automatically from your products' options, tags, and metafields.

Steps

1. In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes and click Customize on Horizon.
2. Use the page picker to switch to a Collection template.
3. Select the Product grid section.
4. Turn on Enable filtering.
5. Turn on Enable sorting if you also want a price/best-selling sort dropdown next to it.
6. Click Save.

Filter options come from Shopify's Search & Discovery app, installed by default on every store — fine-tune which options appear (and their order) from Apps > Search & Discovery > Filters in your admin.
