How to Add an Announcement Bar in Shopify Horizon Theme

Horizon includes a dedicated Announcement bar section that sits above the header — a common spot for shipping thresholds or sale messages.

Steps

1. In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes and click Customize on Horizon.
2. Click Add section at the very top of the section list, above the header.
3. Choose Announcement bar.
4. Click Add block inside it to add one or more message blocks — each can have its own text and link.
5. If you add more than one block, they'll auto-rotate; set the rotation speed in the section settings.
6. Click Save.

Keep the message short — the bar is a single line, and long text gets truncated on mobile screens.
