How to Make the Header Sticky in Shopify Empire Theme

Empire has a native sticky header option — no custom code needed to keep navigation and search visible as shoppers scroll through a long collection page.

Steps

1. In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes and click Customize on Empire.
2. Select the Header section (it's the first item on any template).
3. Find the Sticky header setting and choose On scroll up (appears only when scrolling back up, saves screen space) or Always (stays visible at all times).
4. Empire also lets you set the header's width — full-width or contained — from the same section settings.
5. Click Save.

Keeping search and filtering reachable matters more on Empire than on most themes, since shoppers on a large catalog scroll much further per session.
