How to Add a Scrolling Marquee in Shopify Testament Theme

The scrolling marquee is a distinctive Testament section — a continuous line of text that moves across the screen, available both as a standalone homepage section and as a global header or footer section.

Steps

1. In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes and click Customize on Testament.
2. Click Add section and choose Scrolling marquee — or, to show it globally on every page, add it to the Header or Footer section group instead.
3. Add a block per message — shipping info, a sale, a new collection.
4. Set the scroll speed and color scheme for the banner.
5. Click Save.

Keep the message count small and the text short — a marquee is meant to be glanced at, not read carefully, so cramming in long sentences defeats the format.
