How to Add Product Customization in Shopify Testament Theme

Product customization is a genuinely distinctive Testament block — it collects extra information from a shopper at the moment they add a product to cart, like a name, message, or uploaded image, and attaches it to the order.

Steps

1. In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes and click Customize on Testament.
2. Open a product page and select the Product information section.
3. Click Add block and choose Product customization.
4. Set the field type (text, or image upload) and label it clearly — for example, "Engraving text" or "Upload your photo."
5. Set whether the field is required before a shopper can add the product to cart.
6. Click Save.

This is genuinely useful for personalized or made-to-order products, but only add it to products that actually need customization — requiring extra input on a standard product adds friction for no reason.
