How to Install the Shopify Refresh Theme

Refresh ships free with every Shopify store, but here's how to add it explicitly if it's not already in your theme library.

Steps

1. From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes.
2. Scroll to Explore free themes (or visit the Refresh listing on the Shopify Theme Store) and select Refresh.
3. Click Add theme. It's added to your theme library without going live yet.
4. Once added, click Customize to start editing, or Actions > Publish to make it your live theme.

A few notes

Installing a theme never requires an app — this is a native Shopify action. Adding a theme doesn't remove your other themes; anything already installed stays in your library until you delete it.
