How to Add a Blog Search Bar in Shopify Craft Theme

Craft doesn't include a search box scoped only to the blog — here's what's native, and how to get true blog-only search.

Steps

Craft's header search icon opens a store-wide predictive search that includes blog articles, but also products, pages, and collections in the same results.
There's no section in Craft's theme editor for a search box scoped to just the blog.
For a small blog, the header search is usually enough since your articles still show up in it.
If you want a search bar that lives directly on the blog page and only searches articles — plus insight into what readers are actually searching for — an app like Blog Filter & Blog Search HUE adds that as a section you place on the blog template.
