How to Customize the Sold Out Badge in Shopify Studio Theme

Studio automatically shows a "Sold out" badge on any product with no available variants — you can't turn the badge off, but you can restyle it.

Steps

1. In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes and click Customize on Studio.
2. Click Theme settings, then Badges.
3. Adjust the Sold out badge's background and text color to match your brand.
4. While you're there, do the same for the Sale badge if you're running discounts.
5. Click Save.

The badge text itself ("Sold out") isn't editable from the theme editor — that string comes from Shopify's translation files, so changing the wording requires editing your theme's language settings under Settings > Languages.
