How to Add Social Media Icons to the Footer in Shopify Dawn Theme

Social icons in Dawn's footer come from one central list of URLs, not individual icon blocks you add manually.

Steps

  1. In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes and click Customize on Dawn.
  2. Click Theme settings, then Social media.
  3. Paste the full URL for each platform you use (Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, YouTube, and others are supported).
  4. Switch to the Footer section and make sure Show social media icons is turned on.
  5. Click Save.

Only platforms with a URL filled in will show an icon — leave a field blank and Dawn skips it automatically rather than showing a broken or empty icon.
